2020 Executive Mentorship Program

Nothing is more important to the growth of business or the success of our region than attracting and retaining top talent. The Executive Mentorship Program, presented by our Young Professionals Network (YPN), connects ambitious young professionals with high-level business leaders to support each other’s professional and personal development. The success of this program can be attributed to the dedicated mentors and its growing popularity. Since the program’s inception in 2004, we have matched nearly 1,000 young professionals with area leaders; many of whom are still in regular contact with one another today.

What is the time commitment?

The program begins in January and concludes in June (six-months). Mentors and mentees commit to engaging with their partner 2-3 hours per month and attendance at the mentorship events is highly suggested; it helps lay the foundation and promotes growth of the mentoring partnership (event dates are listed below). While we do understand everyone has busy schedules, a commitment to your match and a willingness to invest time and energy are the most important components for a successful mentoring relationship.

Is there a cost?

There is no cost to participate in the program, however there is a nominal cost to attend the three events, usually between $10 and $15 each.

How are the matches determined?

The Executive Mentorship Committee reviews the applications and determines the matches based on the information shared. That being said, we encourage you to be specific and clear in your responses, while also keeping an open mind to mentoring/being mentored by someone who may be outside of your requested industry.
