May 21, 2020WERC Offers Solutions to Get Women Back to Work
As the New York Capital Region begins plans to re-open local business and get back to work, the Capital District Women’s Employment & Resource Center (WERC) is in a unique position to be a solution, to drive positive economic impact and to give the opportunity for a second chance to the women in our community.
WERC’s First Impressions Second Chances (FISC) networking event, typically held in person, will be hosted virtually on June 2, 2020 from 5PM to 6PM. “The evening will be focused on providing us with what we are all craving now more than ever, connection and hope.” Said Elizabeth Miller Guthier, WERC’s Executive Director.
The event will consist of first impression and networking tips, stories of WERC student empowerment, examples of the positive impact that their sponsors, donors and volunteers have on the community, and multiple chances to win wonderful prizes donated by local businesses.
Attendee donation is $25 per person. One hundred percent of donations go towards supporting the mission of WERC – advancing women’s success in the workplace by building their economic and personal independence. You can register now on their website: www.cdwerc.org/events
Without their sponsors and donors this event would not be possible. They would like to share their deepest gratitude to them all. If you are interested in becoming a sponsor, please contact Elizabeth Miller Guthier (518- 225-3131) before May 28, 2020 to be included in event materials.
