The investment in local housing and building housing throughout the county that both institutions have made is substantial. This Leadership Build is essential, as it demonstrates why it takes all of us and how together we make a difference for Schenectady County families.”
“We are excited to be working together with Habitat for Humanity and SUNY Schenectady County Community College to help a family realize its dream of an affordable home,” said Union College President David R. Harris. “We have a civic duty to help those in our community, and we look forward to making this important project a fun and rewarding experience for all.”
“We are pleased to roll up our sleeves, alongside President David R. Harris and his team from Union College, and work with Habitat for Humanity of Schenectady County to help build a new energy-efficient home,” said Dr. Steady Moono, President of SUNY Schenectady. “It’s very meaningful to be part of this first collaboration between Schenectady County and Habitat for Humanity in Rotterdam, as my leadership team and I contribute our time to help make someone’s dream of affordable housing come true.”
