UAlbany Hosts Cybersecurity Camp for Local High School Students

Local high school students from Albany, Troy and Bethlehem are participating in UAlbany’s CyberExplorers summer camp hosted by the School of Business.

The week-long camp introduces students to the basics of cybersecurity. Students will be exploring topics such as emerging cyber threats, computer forensics, incident response, cryptography, social engineering, log analysis through hands-on cyber exercises, case studies and research activities. Additionally, the students will have the opportunity to learn about degree and career paths in the cybersecurity field. Multiple UAlbany Digital Forensics faculty members and Informatics PhD students, along with Sanjay Goel, Director of UAlbany’s Information Security and Digital Forensics Department, will be teaching the students.

The camp will take place from July 10-July 14 from 9:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m.
