The Summer Meals Collaborative is back for its 11th year!

In 2013, United Way of the Greater Capital Region and partners launched the Summer Meals Collaborative to address childhood hunger during the summer months. Working together with organizations across the region better enables us to share our knowledge, networks, and resources to build a more food-secure landscape for individuals and families in each of the communities we serve. As the Collaborative enters its eleventh summer, we now have 17 organizations working together to end childhood hunger in the Capital Region.

Our shared vision is that every child has access to nutritious, culturally-appealing, and delicious food when school remains closed throughout the summer. The Summer Meals Collaborative has served 1,976,054 meals since 2013! Over the next few months, we’ll continue to tell you more about the Summer Meals Collaborative and highlight the amazing work being done by our partners. With your help, we’ll ensure no child goes hungry over the summer break!
