The Big $100,000 Giveaway Winners

On November 15, the Times Union published their special section on philanthropy, Capital Region Gives. As part of a contest, 10 local nonprofits had the opportunity to share $100,000 in granted advertising space in the Times Union.

This year, 34 nonprofits were eligible to win a share of the $100,000 grant. Voting to determine which  nonprofit will win one of the grants started on timesunion.com on November 15.

With over 23,000 votes cast, the 10 nonprofits with the most number of votes are:

Capital District YMCA, Capital Roots, Colonie Senior Services, CEO, Epilepsy Foundation of NENY, Mohawk Hudson Humane Society, Northeastern Association of the Blind, Northern Rivers, RISSE and Whiskers Animal Benevolent League.

Capital Region Gives will return in 2019.
