March 31, 2016Sunmark Federal Credit Union Wins Two National Diamond Awards
Sunmark Federal Credit Union recently won two Diamond Awards at the Credit Union National Association (CUNA) Marketing and Business Development Council conference in Anaheim, C.A. The most prestigious annual credit union industry competition, the Diamond Awards recognize and reward creative excellence and outstanding results in credit union marketing.
Sunmark received the Category’s Best Diamond Award in the financial education category for Speed Savings. Speed Savings is a bi-annual event which offers to show the community ways to save money in one hour or less by sitting down with four different Sunmark experts. The first Speed savings was held in the fall of 2014 and the fourth event is set for this Saturday.
Audrey Stone, co-creator of the event with Maureen Whitesell, represented Sunmark at the awards ceremony and said “It’s an honor to be recognized nationally for Speed Savings. When we created Speed Savings, our goal was to inspire our community to achieve their financial goals. We are thankful to our members for attending, and to CUNA for recognizing our efforts. We look forward to many more Speed Savings events in the future with the sole purpose of helping our community save and achieve their financial dreams.”
Sunmark picked up a second award for their 2015 Sunmark Calendar. Each year the Sunmark calendar features photos taken by area residents along with financial tips and important dates. Photos for the calendar are selected by the community during a photo contest on Sunmark’s Facebook page which occurs in August.
