The Schenectady Day Nursery, located at 25 Lafayette Street Schenectady, was formed in 1902 by a group of innovative community members who saw a need in Schenectady for progressive and comprehensive childcare. SDN strives to continue the founders’ vision of high quality, affordable daycare and early childhood education for the children of working families. In a time of skyrocketing childcare costs, families pay tuition on a sliding scale commensurate with their ability to pay. Fund raising is an essential part of keeping fees affordable.
