Saratoga Casino Hotel set to host Food Truck and Classic Car Festival

Saratoga Casino Hotel will host its first Food Truck and Classic Car Festival. The festival will take place on Saturday, September 17 from noon to 5pm on the polo field near the Nelson Avenue entrance. Admission is free and the event is open to the general public.

In conjunction with Empire Broadcasting’s 101.3 The Jockey, the festival brings some of the top names in regional food trucks as well as a collection of classic cars to the casino. Over a dozen food trucks will be featured, including local favorites like Burger 21, Esperanto and Cheesy Does It. The Classic Car show will feature a variety of some of the most timeless and recognizable cars, including a 1921 Ford Model T.

“The combination of the area’s best food trucks and some of history’s most beautiful cars will really make this a special day for all our guests,” said Kathleen Anderson, Director of Entertainment at Saratoga Casino Hotel. “We’re thrilled to partner with The Jockey and hope this is the first of many similar events together.”

The first 1,000 guests in attendance will receive two free gifts. Beginning at 1pm, there will be drawings for $45,000 worth of cash and prizes held throughout the day in the casino. Live music from various local acts, including MPThree and The Toga Boys, will be held on the polo field throughout the festival. In addition, a pair of television celebrities will be featured at the festival.

Actor and comedian Adam Ferrara is set to make an appearance for an autograph signing from 2-3:30pm during the festival. Ferrara was most recently known for co-hosting ‘Top Gear,’ and was also regularly featured on the hit FX show, ‘Rescue Me.’

“The Food Truck and Classic Car Festival: I get to see really cool cars, meet a bunch of car people, and eat some great food?” said Adam Ferrara. “I love my job! Thanks Saratoga Casino, this is going to be a great day.”

Food Network star Sara Moulton will also be in attendance at the festival. Host of ‘Sara’s Weeknight Meals, Moulton will be signing autographs and giving recipe tips at the festival from 3pm-4:30pm.

“I’m very excited for my first trip to Saratoga,” said Sara Moulton. “I’m really looking forward to sharing some recipes and sampling some of the offerings from all the food trucks.”
