RMHC of the Capital Region Receives Support from 3rd Annual Kids & Clays Open

Guan Ho Ha Fish & Game Club in Scotia, NY, held its 3rd Annual Kids & Clays Open on Saturday, September 11, raising thousands of dollars to support critically ill children and their families. Funds raised through this sporting clay event benefit both Ronald McDonald House Charities® of the Capital Region (RMHC-CR) and the Kids & Clays Foundation, which supports participating RMHC® chapters nationwide.

“We are very proud of the success of this year’s Kids & Clays Open,” said Steve Paige, one of the event founders. “Guan-Ho-Ha club members and guests have come together to make this event better and better every year, allowing us to support children and families with serious health issues in a very meaningful way.”

“RMHC of the Capital Region is honored to receive a portion of proceeds from the Kids & Clays Open, and to have the support of Guan Ho Ha Fish & Game Club as we deliver care and comfort to families with sick children,” said David Jacobsen, CEO, RMHC of the Capital Region. “We rely on the compassion of our community to deliver programs and services to families who need them at absolutely no cost. Events like the Kids & Clays Open are a wonderful example of that compassion put into action to make a difference.”

The 3rd Annual Kids & Clays Open drew more than 180 participants and guests who enjoyed a day of shooting with 100 sporting clay targets, as well as dinner, a silent auction, raffles, and more. Guan Ho Ha Fish & Game Club is grateful to all who participated and sponsored the event, as are RMHC-CR and the Kids & Clays Foundation.

“We are certainly proud to work with the outstanding volunteers of the Guan Ho Ha club to put on such a great event for a great cause,” said Doug Jeanneret, Executive Director of the Kids & Clays Foundation. “The funds raised will help thousands of families stay together in the Capital Region as well as in locales across the country. We thank the Guan Ho Ha club and it’s volunteer leaders, the generous sponsors, and the leaders and volunteers from RMHC of the Capital Region for all of their support.”
