June 13, 2017Preferred Mutual Heart Run & Walk Team Celebrates Successful 2017 Fundraising Campaign
Members of the Preferred Mutual Heart Run & Walk Team, and Sarah Stevens, Senior Development Director for the American Heart Association in Utica, NY, during the announcement and celebration of the 2017 fundraising campaign results.
On Friday, June 9, the American Heart Association recognized the fundraising efforts of Preferred Mutual Insurance Company’s (“Preferred Mutual”) Team for the 2017 America’s Greatest Heart Run & Walk, which took place on March 4, 2017, at Utica College in Utica, New York. The event encourages the public to take up walking and other healthy habits as part of their daily routine to live longer, stronger lives. The Preferred Mutual 157-member Team surpassed their goal of raising $10,000 by more than 30 percent and instead raised $13,027 towards fighting heart disease and stroke. As a result of their fundraising efforts, the Preferred Mutual Team came in 4th for all corporate giving and 6th overall for this event.
