February 9, 2017Poirier Joins The Meadows at Glenwyck as Community Manager
The Meadows at Glenwyck, a 110-unit independent senior-living community located in Glenville, has named Laura Poirier community manager.
The Greenwich resident will supervise the community’s day-to-day property management, including hiring and training new staff, and assisting in marketing the property. She will also oversee the Senior Engaged Life program by arranging special events, speakers, entertainers, art teachers and exercise programs.
“We are delighted to welcome Laura to our team,” said Adam DeSantis, principal at Summit Senior Living LLC. “As our community continues to grow, Laura’s expertise in business management, sales, marketing, advertising, promotion, event coordination and human services will be a tremendous asset to us.”
Poirier has more than a decade of experience working in the senior living sector. Prior to joining Glenwyck, she served as the administrator at Adirondack Manor in Queensbury, where she supervised the licensed adult care facility’s general operations. Before that, Poirier spent 10 years as activity director at Saratoga’s Home of the Good Shepherd. She began her career in marketing and sales positions at Albany Broadcasting Company and TransWorld Entertainment Corp.
Poirier earned her undergraduate degree in music industry from the State University of New York at Oneonta.
