June 1, 2017Overit to Host Albany’s Third Annual Tea Festival
The Albany Tea Festival is an annual event featuring the region’s leading tea experts and will include specialty vendors, tea talks, charity raffles and a Chinese tea ceremony. The event is scheduled for Friday, June 2 from 5:30 p.m. to 9 p.m. at Overit.
The night will start with a vendor display with Divinitea, Herbal Turtle Teas, Mariaville Mushroom Men, Saratoga Tea & Honey, Short & Stout Tea Lounge and Stone Leaf Teahouse. Beginning at 6 p.m., guests will learn from educational sessions that will feature:
- Robert Beyfuss, American Ginseng Farm
- Linda Smith, Divinitea
- John Wetzel, Stone Leaf Teahouse
- Bobby Chandler, Mariaville Mushroom Men
The event will conclude with a play by Teapunk’s Rebecca Angel & Associates on “The History of Tea.”
Also, guests will have the chance to experience Chinese tea ceremonies, participate in charity raffles and learn more about tea vendors from all around the Capital District.
