Mr. Joseph Herkenham and Ms. Mallorie Gerwitz Appointed to the Board of Catholic Charities Tri-County Services

Mr. Joseph Herkenham and Ms. Mallorie Gerwitz have been appointed to the Board of Catholic Charities Tri-County Services, which covers Albany, Rensselaer, and Schenectady Counties.

Mr. Herkenham who resides in Slingerlands, is retired after a career in the construction industry in many different positions, including principal owner at FPI Mechanical.  He has volunteered at the Sister Maureen Joyce Center in Albany since 2015, and brings his passion for the mission of Catholic Charities and his management experience to help the agency.  Mr. Herkenham holds a Bachelor of Science degree from RPI and a Professional Engineering license.

Ms. Gerwitz of Albany is an IT recruiter at Teksystems, and has held previous positions at the College of St. Rose, the Roman Catholic Diocese of Burlington, VT, and the Sisters of Charity in Leavenworth, KS.  She holds a Bachelor of Science degree from Nazareth College of Rochester and brings to the board her experience in serving the poor as well as fundraising experience.
