Member Spotlight: Northeast Toner, Inc.

Northeast Toner Inc. was founded in October of 1987. Celebrating their 35 year anniversary last year!

“When my parents first started this company, my father was working full time and thought that making toner cartridges might be a good side business to make some extra income for our family. After about six months, he needed to take on the business full time because of the demand.” said Craig Trietiak, President, Northeast Toner, Inc.

Northeast Toner Inc. is well known for their knowledge in this industry, primarily because they are able to remanufacture their toner cartridges by reusing the genuine toner cartridge cores. Their cartridges don’t void any manufacturer warranties or infringe on any patents. They can reuse cartridge cores (empty cartridges) up to 100 times. This differentiates them from companies who sell inexpensive single use toners that add to our landfills and take, on average, 1,000 years to break down. Single use toner cartridges were recently banned for sale in Los Angeles County, CA. Genuine toner cartridges are accepted by Northeast Toner for recycling.

Northeast Toner Inc. customers purchase their remanufactured toner cartridges because of their quality and reliability. They test every toner before it leaves their doors. The staff of Northeast Toner possess 35 years of knowledge in the remanufacturing industry and over 50 years of experience in printer service.

While Northeast Toner Inc. has been a Chamber member for several years, they have yet to tap into all of the valuable benefits available to business owners.

“Living and working in the Capital Region is fantastic! The people that I get to work with and meet when making deliveries and on service calls is a lot of fun, and one of the favorite parts of my job. I love seeing customers that have been with us for over 30 years”, said Craig Trietiak, President, Northeast Toner, Inc. “I always laugh when a new customer thinks that all toner is the same, and that we simply drill a hole in the cartridge to fill it. It’s actually a lot more complex than that. Our product is fully disassembled and put back together with new toner and parts designed for that specific toner. Some remanufacturers reuse vital parts inside of each toner cartridge in an attempt to make it last one more cycle. However, at Northeast Toner, we don’t want to take that risk. Instead, in every cartridge, we replace each integral part, which we source from the three leading toner cartridge part sellers in the US.”
