As part of Governor Cuomo’s Upstate Revitalization Initiative, the Capital Region Economic Development Council (CREDC) is leading an effort to create a regional economic transformation plan and compete for $500 million in related State funding. A critical element of the plan’s success will be its ability to prioritize and leverage the shared assets and aspirations of the various jurisdictions within our region. With that in mind, the Capital Region Chamber of Commerce will be hosting two Town Hall events with the CREDC. The first will be at the Chamber Offices onMonday, August 17 from 4 to 5:30 p.m. The second will be held in the Fenimore Room at Proctors on Tuesday, August 18 from 4 to 5:30 p.m. The Town Halls will solicit your input on transformational strategies and initiatives that will enable sustained economic growth and prosperity for all.
