Tully Rinckey PLLC named attorney John C. Doherty, Esq. as Managing Partner of the firm’s new midtown Manhattan office, located on Third Avenue and 49th Street. With more than two decades of legal experience, Doherty brings a wealth of knowledge and acumen in advising businesses of all stages to Tully Rinckey PLLC. In his new role as Managing Partner, Doherty will not only oversee the daily operations of the firm’s New York City team and expansion of the firm’s new office, but also simultaneously continue providing exceptional legal representation for all clients.

Doherty’s extensive track record of advising businesses and corporations across many industry sectors, as both general counsel and business consultant, makes him a valuable asset to companies seeking growth. At Tully Rinckey PLLC, he oversees all commercial transactions, financial services, business consulting, commercial real estate and international tax structuring. Prior to joining the firm, Doherty ran his own successful corporate law practice and served as president of a consulting agency that specialized in advising private equity and hedge fund managers on operations and compliance issues. Prior to that, he was chief legal officer at GEO Capital Holdings LLC, which provided asset management, private equity and corporate advisory services to fund managers, with an emphasis on Latin American companies and investors; he represented domestic and offshore private funds and investment advisors in formation, regulation, offerings/capital raising and investment transactions at Loeb, Block & Partners LLP.
Doherty obtained his juris doctorate from the Fordham University School of Law. He received his bachelor’s degree in finance from the Fordham University College of Business Administration.
Tully Rinckey PLLC formally launched its Manhattan operations this month. From the 22nd floor of 777 Third Avenue, the space boasts panoramic views of Manhattan and beyond.
