January 20, 2021Joan Nicole Prince Home in Scotia awarded a $10,000 matching grant
Schenectady Community Home, Inc. dba Joan Nicole Prince Home is grateful for the generous $10,000.00 matching grant support from Schenectady, NY’s own Wright Family Foundation. The grant’s matching funds came from local businesses including… Anker’s Auto Service, Demarco Stone Funeral home, Nosal Memorials, R.A. Fuerst Law Group, P.C., Simple Choices Inc., 1st National bank of scotia, Exit 8 Liquors, Find Your Dreams Inc.
The grant was accepted January 2021 and will support the JNP Home’s operational expenses & educational programs.
The major goal of Wright Family Foundation is to support organizations and programs that create opportunities for long-term and sustainable impact.
The Joan Nicole Prince Home provides a safe, comfortable, caring residence to terminally ill patients in need of a home during their final days. The awarded funds will allow ongoing end of life care to the terminally ill, support to their family members and friends, and provide educational programs with partner organizations, teaching future healthcare professionals compassionate end of life care.
