October 2, 2020Humane Society’s Virtual Oktopurrfest features Real Food and Beer!
The Mohawk Hudson Humane Society’s Oktopurrfest event will be virtual this year, while offering participants the chance to revel with food and beer packages from Brown’s Brewing Company. All are invited to the view the event, which will be streamed live on the humane Society’s Facebook page on Saturday, October 24 at 6 pm. Pickup meals must be ordered by October 19.
The program includes array of videos featuring animals and fun surprises. A highlight of this year’s event will be live voting for the Festmeister, an annual tradition in which one animal is selected for the ceremonial title. The event will be co-hosted by Jaime Roberts of 98.3 WTRY and MHHS CEO Ashley Jeffrey Bouck.
Adding to the fun, participants may order Oktopurrfest party packs by October 19 to be picked up from Brown’s Brewing Company, located at 417 River Street in Troy, on the day of the event. Menu features a selection of fall comfort foods, including pretzels, pumpkin risotto and veggie fritters, 4-packs of specially labeled Oktoberfest beer, branded pint glass, coasters and cat ears. Meals are vegetarian with gluten-free variation available. Party packs are $40 per person and additional food and beer may be purchased.
