Green Tech High Charter School Donates 20,000 Water Bottles to Flint, Michigan

Green Tech High Charter School, an all-boys charter high school in Albany, NY has collected more than 600 cases of water to donate to the citizens of Flint, Michigan. During a special event at 3:30 p.m. on Tuesday, March 1, the students at Green Tech High will pack the delivery truck to be driven to Flint.

In an effort to support the thousands of people in Flint that have limited access to clean water, Green Tech High reached out to the Capital Region community to find organizations and individuals interested in donating. By partnering with Macedonia Church, National Business Equipment, Albany Community Charter School and a number of individuals throughout the area, Green Tech High has now collected more than 20,000 bottles of water.

With this hands-on experience of directly impacting a community in need, Green Tech High students are expanding their knowledge and empathy, having an experience that will motivate them to pursue meaningful and responsible career paths and charitable endeavors in the future.
