The Grand Rehabilitation and Nursing at Guilderland Holds Special Ceremony for it’s Veterans

The Grand Rehabilitation and Nursing at Guilderland, a 127-bed nursing facility that provides rehabilitation and nursing services to patients who require either short- or long-term nursing care following hospitalization, held a special ceremony on Memorial Day for its veteran residents. The festivities included a proclamation from New York State Gov. Andrew Cuomo that was presented to The Grand’s veteran residents by staff from the New York State Division of Veterans Affairs (VA), which is working with The Grand to help veteran residents unable to care for themselves receive additional benefits to which they are entitled. In this photo, entertainer Carla Page sings to: (L to R) Michael Maxwell (in the wheelchair on the left holding the flag), Burlin Loux, Henry DaMassa, Gertrude Traenkle, John Marcil, Gary Smith, David Lowe, John Gorcesky, Robert Murley and Raymond Palmer during the ceremonies.
