Financial Fair Prepares Boomers for Retirement

Being prepared financially is one of the greatest and most important ways to plan for retirement. Colonie Senior Service Centers is hosting a financial fair on Wed., March 9th to prepare those who are recently retired or approaching retirement on how to manage their financial future. The Boomers: Ready, Set, Retire Financial Fair will be held at the Beltrone Living Center from 5:30-7:30pm.

The most popular feature at the fair is a panel discussion led by Steven Bouchey, CFP and host of “Let’s Talk Money” on NewsTalk Radio. The panel, beginning at 6pm, provides information on top financial concerns for retirement. The panel is comprised of leaders in the banking, financial planning, senior housing, estate planning, and long term insurance fields. Included are Clare Colamaria, A Senior’s Choice, LLC; Brian Johnson, National Long Term Care Brokers; Kevin McCoy, Marvin & Co.; Rick Rowlands; Rowlands & Lebrou, PLLC; and Kevin Smith, Berkshire Bank.

With sponsorships from Berkshire Bank and Bouchey Financial Group, a number of exhibitors have been invited to spread their wealth of knowledge to recent and future retirees. Exhibitors featured will include various financial institutions and companies that are experienced with retirement planning.
