Fahey Joins Overit

Overit, a creative marketing agency based in upstate New York, announced today the appointment of Paul Fahey as chief operating officer (COO).

In this role, Fahey will focus on managing agency growth through acquisition, recruitment and retention of talent, as well as improving internal processes and policies. He will work with the team to provide leadership and direction for all business activities including operations, finance, human resources and client strategy.

Over the past several years, Overit has grown consistently in both revenue and talent acquisition. Today, the agency has nearly 40 employees and is actively recruiting for several positions. “We’re thrilled to have Paul on board at Overit,” said Dan Dinsmore, founder and principal. “He brings a strong passion and ambition for marketing, and combined with his extensive experience in the field, he will help the agency continue its positive trajectory.”

Fahey’s experience is derived from his work with The American Institute for Economic Research, The Brooklyn Hospital Center, The Center for Economic Growth, The Citadel, GE Power and Water, Integra Optics, Proctors Theater and Spalding Sports Worldwide, among others. For this variety of clients, Fahey streamlined operations, improved marketing effectiveness, differentiated brand strategies, developed new revenue streams, and more.

Beyond his vast professional commitments, Fahey has been the Board Chair for the Children’s Museum of Science and Technology (CMOST) since 2010, including the role of Interim CEO from 2010 to 2012. Most recently as Board Chair, he led CMOST through a merger with the College of Nanoscale Science and Engineering (CNSE) at the University of Albany; a deal that included a $5 million gift in support of the museum’s mission. He also serves on the board of the Albany Charter School Network and the Arts Center of the Capital Region.

“I’ve been a fan of Overit for a long time, and have much respect for the creative work and overall mission of the agency,” said Fahey. “Overit has a dynamic portfolio of clients and produces amazing campaigns. I’m excited to share my experience to enhance already established projects and relationships, while also focusing on expanding the agency’s reach throughout the Capital Region and beyond.”

Fahey has a bachelor of science in visual arts from the State University of New York at New Paltz. A lifelong resident of New York’s Capital Region, he enjoys spending free time with his wife, Kelly, and two children, Chloe and Harris. He is an avid triathlete, endurance cyclist and ultramarathon runner, and is currently training for an FAA Private Pilot license.
