Dr. Jacqueline Richardson-Melecio, author, diversity, equity and inclusion expert, trainer, educator, and leadership development thought leader, introduces her new book, Belonging: Shifting Your D.E.I. Narrative.

In writing this book, she seeks to help organizational leaders be proactive in their D.E.I. journey. Her hope is that in reading this book you will discover a different perspective to D.E.I. and help you feel equipped to take impactful steps in leading your organization’s D.E.I. initiatives. As a D.E.I. consultant for over 20 years, she has worked to support organizational leaders, service providers, and educators in creating, supporting, and planning diversity, equity, and inclusion initiatives. Dr. Richardson-Melecio is the President/CEO of Equity Dynamics, a diversity, equity, and inclusion consulting company. In founding Equity Dynamics, she has pressed into service over 25 years of experience as a diversity, equity, and inclusion (D.E.I.) expert to deliver quality consultation and training services to corporate, government, community-based, healthcare, and educational organizations. As a Doctoral-level researcher, Licensed Masters Social Worker (LMSW), and bi-lingual professional, she has dedicated her career to supporting organizations in building awareness, knowledge, and skill in understanding the impact of race, culture, and diversity. Her consultancy has allowed her to spearhead executive level management, program development, and training initiatives that address the fundamental social, political, and economic determinants of the human experience. In doing so, she seeks to translate knowledge into strategies, and strategies into solutions for complex systems of care and corporate entities that seek to proactively navigate the cross section of race, culture, and diversity.
