June 2, 2016Art Exhibition “Too Many Words” Opens at Albany Public Library on June 3
Albany Public Library celebrates its newest art exhibition, “Too Many Words,” with an opening reception on Friday, June 3, from 6 to 7:30 p.m. at the Pine Hills Branch, located at 517 Western Avenue in Albany. The opening reception is free and open to the public, and includes light refreshments and live music. The exhibition can be viewed during regular library hours and continues through October 2.
“In ‘Too Many Words,’ text does more than just connect the dots—it portrays a story. By repurposing materials, artists change words’ context so we see something familiar in a new way,” said Jessica Cone, the library’s art exhibition coordinator. Support for the exhibition was provided by the Albany Public Library Foundation.
Exhibition Artists include Emily Armstrong, Michael Conlin, Shea Lord-Farmer, Mark Ouija, Erik Savage, and Larissa Tapler.
