Albany Pro Musica Announces 2016-1017 Season

Albany Pro Musica celebrates its 36th Season with an electrifying and eclectic mix of performances that includes concerts with the Canadian Brass, The Philadelphia Orchestra, The New York City Ballet, the Albany Symphony and the Orchestra Pro Musica. Besides a program with some of the heart-warming a cappella repertoire that gave the group notoriety, season’s highlights include the new Capital Region tradition The Many Moods of Christmas and Jenkin’s famous mass for peace The Armed Man.

“Our 35th season at our new performance home, the Troy Savings Bank Music Hall, was a sound success and inspired me to plan a new season with exhilarating and innovating programing.” says APM’s Artistic Director, Jose Daniel Flores-Caraballo, “This season combines the treasured a cappella tradition, collaboration with world class musicians, and the use of film media. Last season brought community engagement on the subject of immigration which greatly impacted the capital region. This new tradition will continue, this time in a call for world peace, around the May performance.”
