A New England Nanny Hosts National Nanny Training Day Event

New England Nanny announces they will be hosting a local event for National Nanny Training Day.

For more than 10 years, A New England Nanny has welcomed nannies from the Capital Region and surrounding areas to participate in a day-long training program. Topics have included first aid, water safety, professionalism, car seat safety, healthy meal preparation, bullying, and more. Each session also features a 3-hour CPR certification course.

“We are always proud to host this event which ensures that nannies receive focused education in their chosen profession so they can provide higher quality child care for local families,” says Melissa Schoonmaker, director of A New England Nanny for the last 20 years. “This year we are excited to have a workshop with Kathleen Hardlands, an Infant & Toddler Specialist at the Capital District Child Care Council; a workshop on senior care with one of our long-time caregivers; and Miranda VonFricken to discuss personal and professional goal setting.”

This year’s event will be held on Saturday, April 21 at the Capital District Child Care Council at 91 Broadway in Menands from 9am-4pm. A New England Nanny does not charge a fee for nannies to
attend.
