Center for Economic Growth Elects 2016 Board of Directors

The Center for Economic Growth (CEG) has elected the following individuals to the 2016 Board of Directors, terms starting January 1, 2016:

  • Bryant Cassella, Senior Vice President, KeyBank
  • Michael J. Castellana, President & CEO, SEFCU
  • Pamela Sawchuck-Brown, Vice President, Community Development, Albany Medical Center
  • Omar Usmani, Executive Partner, Aeon Nexus
  • Dan White, Partner, KPMG

Elected to the CEG Board of Directors for a second term were:

  • Gary L. Balfour, President, Solid Sealing Technology
  • John D. Bennett, MD, CEO, CDPHP
  • William Flaherty, Director, Customer & Community Management, National Grid
  • John LaRow, Vice President & District Manager, Gilbane Building Company
  • Tracy Metzger, Principal Broker, TL Metzger & Associates, LLC
  • Charles P. Steiner, CCE, President, Capital Region Chamber

CEG Executive Committee Member Thomas Amell, President & CEO of Pioneer Bank was also elected to serve as Executive Vice Chair of the Board.

“We are excited to welcome our newest board members, who will bring with them a fresh perspective and wealth of experience and insight.” said Laura Schweitzer, Ph.D., Chair of the CEG Board of Directors and VP for Health Sciences and Biomedical Initiatives, University at Albany.  “They will be great additions and their service will provide tremendous benefits to the board and organization” she continued.
