December 16, 2020Wellspring Receives $40,000 Donation from The Rotary Club of Saratoga Springs for New Building
Wellspring, the domestic violence and sexual assault services resource for Saratoga County residents, is pleased to announce a charitable contribution in the amount of $40,000 from The Rotary Club of Saratoga Springs. This generous donation supports the development of Wellspring’s brand-new facility located just south of exit 13 on Rt. 9 in Malta, which is set to be complete in October 2021. The new building will replace Wellspring’s existing facility at 480 Broadway in Saratoga Springs, and allow the organization to provide more impactful programs and services for survivors of domestic violence and sexual assault in Saratoga County.
“The Rotary Club of Saratoga Springs is proud to support Wellspring’s ongoing work toward ending relationship and sexual abuse in our community,” Stephen Kyne of The Rotary Club of Saratoga Springs says. The organization, which is comprised of a 65+ network of neighbors and business professionals, serves the community by providing funding for local organizations and youth scholarships, as well as through service-oriented events.
“We are grateful for The Rotary Club of Saratoga Spring’s donation to Wellspring in addition to their ongoing support of the community,” Wellspring Executive Director Maggie Fronk states. “Support from partners like The Rotary Club of Saratoga Springs are crucial in making Wellspring’s services more accessible to our community.”
The $3 million project will allow Wellspring to offer more safe spaces for counseling, skill growth programs and community prevention initiatives. To support this development, community members are encouraged to spread the word about Wellspring’s programs and services, and make a donation directly to the campaign.
