October 27, 2020Town of Stillwater Foundation Accepting Applications for 2020 Grants
Town of Stillwater Foundation has announced the availability of public grant money for community organizations seeking to bring educational opportunities and positive change to the health, safety, and welfare of local residents. The 2020 grant period will mark the 5th year in a row that successful grant applications will be awarded. The Foundation has invested more than $440,000 in organizations in the Stillwater community since 2011.
Town of Stillwater Foundation grant applications are available at a variety of key locations. Printed application copies may be obtained from the Stillwater Town Hall, the Stillwater Free Library, and the Superintendent’s Office at the Stillwater Central Schools. The application may also be downloaded in PDF format from the Town of Stillwater website: StillwaterNY.org. The deadline for submitting an application is November 30th, 2020.
As part of the development of the Fab 8 project, GLOBALFOUNDRIES has contributed a total of $5 million to fund two stand-alone 501 (c)3 charitable foundations: the GLOBALFOUNDRIES-Town of Stillwater Foundation and GLOBALFOUNDRIES-Town of Malta Foundation. Each foundation is managed by a separate, independent Board of Directors and uses income earned from investments to fund a wide variety of local community programs. Through the end of 2019, these Foundations have placed over $1.5 Million into service of their communities.
