February 26, 2020Worldwide Company to Offer Sales Course for SUNY Schenectady
The SUNY Schenectady Business Administration program and Winning Process, LLC dba Sandler Training of the Greater Capital Region of NY have teamed up on a course, Management 215: Sales and Service, as part of the College’s A.A.S. Degree program and Entrepreneurship Certificate program. The three-credit course will give students the advantage of gaining the knowledge and skills that Sandler Training, one of the leading sales training and leadership development companies in the world, has provided for decades to sales professionals.
“The College continues to partner with local industry to provide advantages and opportunities for our students,” noted Dr. Steady Moono, President of SUNY Schenectady. “The training that our students will receive will serve them as they pursue their goals in the business and entrepreneurship fields.”
The training, which will take place in the Sandler offices located in Albany, will be comprehensive and cover topics including: establishing rapport with prospects; uncovering the prospect’s needs, budget, and decision-making; delivering effective presentations; improving behavior and technique; and creating an effective prospecting plan. The course will be taught by Sandler trainers who are sales and management professionals, with oversight by a full-time faculty member in the College’s Business program.
“We are so excited about what this unique agreement means for SUNY Schenectady students,” said Matthew Farron, Professor in the Division of Business, Criminal Justice and Law, who was instrumental in designing the partnership with Sandler Training. “Sales skills are extremely important regardless of the career you choose. Students who are interested in seeking employment immediately upon graduation or starting a business will now have the opportunity to gain these essential skills from a world leader in sales training.”
Students will not only gain the experience of participating in Sandler’s innovative sales training program that has been proven effective by individuals from throughout the world in a variety of industries. They will also have the opportunity to network and learn from professionals who will be undergoing the training as well alongside them.
“We are looking forward to preparing these young men and women to walk out of SUNY Schenectady with a skill set to make an immediate impact,” said Matt Scarchilli, owner of Winning Process, LLC, dba Sandler Training of the Greater Capital District of NY. “We are all in sales, whether we are selling our idea to internal customers or external customers. The Sandler Selling System puts a process and system into place to help people be more successful.”
The course is open to students in the College’s Business Administration A.A.S. Degree program, which is designed for students who want to enter the workforce upon completion of the program, and those in the Entrepreneurship Certificate program, for students interested in launching their own business ventures or working in start-up companies.
