October 3, 2019Capital District Sports Women of the Year Reception to Take Place October 14 at Glennpeter Jewelers
The Eric Idea Agency, a public relations and event management company based in Schenectady and a proud member of the Capital Region Chamber, has developed a very special and unique charity and awards project for remarkable young women in our community.
And, thanks to generous businesses in our area, fundraisers provide the support for this project.
On Monday, October 14, Glennpeter Jewelers Diamond Centre will be hosting a reception for the Capital District Sports Women of the Year, Inc. This program honors the best and brightest female student athletes from high schools and colleges in the Capital District of New York State.
The reception will take place at the Glennpeter Jewelers Diamond Centre, 1544 Central Ave. in Albany, NY from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. The reception will include complimentary hors d’oeuvres, appetizers and dessert with a cash bar. 100% of beverage sales during the event will be donated to CDSWOY.
The raffle will include a gift certificate for a wine tasting event ($1,500 value), a design and wine party ($500 value), and a 50/50 drawing. A silent auction will also be held. Capital District Sports Women of the Year, Inc. will honor ten high school and five college female student-athletes for academics, athletics and community service with a Gala at Proctors in May. CDSWOY will provide donations to charity after the Gala. CDSWOY is a 501(c)(3) organization.
