April 11, 20194th Annual Duck Derby for Autism
Held June 15th (11 a.m. – 3 p.m.) at Mohawk Harbor in Schenectady, more than 5,000 ducks will race to the finish line! Organizations devoted to providing services to the autism community will be present along with tons of family-friendly activities.
The Autism Society of of the Greater Capital Region is thrilled to be partnering with the Adirondack Aquatic Center this year to host the Duck Derby and a Guinness World Record Attempt. Be one of more than 3,000 people in one area wearing a swim cap and making history for this exciting new facility.
Adirondack Aquatic Center will be the premier facility of its kind in the Northeast, with 80,000 square-feet and four pools with round-the-clock programmable space. Facilities like this are imperative for learn-to-swim programs, vital for those diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder to learn this valuable skill.
Adopt a duck (or more) for the chance to win great prizes in the derby, and enjoy food trucks and sensory friendly activities for the whole family. Additional Ducks and Caps will be available at the event.
