$74,000 Raised For The Epilepsy Foundation

The Epilepsy Foundation of Northeastern New York held their 31st Annual Confections in Chocolate Gala on Saturday, March 9, at Glen Sanders Mansion. The event raised $74,000 and will go directly towards the services the agency provides.

The Epilepsy Foundation of Northeastern New York celebrated its 31st annual chocolate fundraising gala on Saturday (3/9). This year’s theme was “The Enchanted Garden, Where Hope Grows.” During the event, 265 guests gathered as the foundation honored Albany Med as the Flame of Hope Award Winner. EFNENY also introduced their new 2019 Winning Kid, Madeline Bargy.

The highlight of the event was the arrangement of chocolate desserts donated by local executive and pastry chefs. There were over 1,300 pieces, slices, and displays of chocolate desserts. They ranged from Chocolate Chip Bundt Cakes to Gluten Free Mousse Cakes. Proceeds from the event are used to support the Epilepsy Foundation of Northeastern New York’s program and services including educational programs, advocacy, support networks and counseling.
