Breakfast on October 11 to Recognize Businesses that Support an Inclusive Workforce

In celebration of October as National Disability Employment Awareness Month, the Office for People With Developmental Disabilities (OPWDD), in collaboration with the Employment First Commission and several state and private agencies and businesses, is hosting a breakfast to recognize Capital Region businesses that support an inclusive workforce.

  • The complimentary breakfast features an interactive discussion with John Robinson, Our Ability, Inc. CEO, and Mike Miller, Price Chopper/Market 32 VP/HR Operations about how hiring people with disabilities will improve businesses’ bottom line.
  • Employers are also invited to attend a demonstration by Apple that explores how technology can help businesses hire the best employees.
  • The breakfast takes place on Thursday, October 11, 2018 at 8:00 a.m. at Apple at Crossgates Mall.
