June 15, 2017The Epilepsy Foundation of Northeastern New York Announces Staff, Board of Directors Expansion
The Epilepsy Foundation of Northeastern New York is pleased to announce the addition of two new staff members and the appointment of two new members to the Board of Directors.
The Foundation welcomes Nicole Sanders as a Medicaid Service Coordinator. A northeastern New York native, Nicole is looking forward to serving individuals and families affected by epilepsy here in our region. Nicole obtained her Master’s Degree in Therapeutic Recreation, and is dedicated to assisting individuals in accessing necessary services. The Foundation also welcomes Bethany Selkis as a Medicaid Service Coordinator. Bethany grew up in the Capital Region and previously worked in human services at a local organization after receiving her degree from SUNY Brockport. She looks forward to utilizing her skillset in the community she knows and loves.
The Foundation is also pleased to welcome two new members to the Board of Directors. Michelle Hebert has a personal connection to epilepsy, and is currently the Director of Communications for the School Administrators Association of New York State. The Foundation also announces the appointment of Anoush Koroghlian-Scott to the Board of Directors. Anoush currently practices health care law with White, Osterman and Hanna. Michelle and Anoush bring diverse professional backgrounds, dedication to our mission and distinct community-mindedness that will prove tremendous assets to the organization.
“There are more than 45,000 people living with epilepsy throughout the Capital Region, North Country and Upper Hudson Valley,” said Jeannine Garab, Executive Director of the Epilepsy Foundation of Northeastern New York. “While our mission includes accelerating therapies and ultimately finding a cure, we realize that in the present, the need for our programs and services has never been greater. We are incredibly fortunate to add these talented and committed individuals to our organization to assist us with furthering our mission.”
