Wickes Forensic Accounting Welcomes Migliore

Pamela D. Wickes, CPA, CFE, CFF, ABV, owner of Wickes Forensic Accounting & Consulting, LLC is very proud to announce the expansion of her forensic accounting practice, as she has hired an experienced CPA.   Marina Migliore, Certified Public Accountant, joined Wickes Forensic Accounting & Consulting, LLC recently.  Migliore holds a Master’s Degree in Professional Accountancy from SUNY Albany and a Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting from Siena College.  She is graduate of the Leadership Advancement Series sponsored by the Albany-Colonie Chamber, SUNY Albany, & Siena College.  She has been employed in various accounting positions since 2003.  She has experience in both private industry and public accounting, and, in her most recent role as a Controller, her responsibilities included IT, employee benefits, and human resources.

Wickes said, “Marina is a great addition.  She has a diversified background, which will be an asset in various forensic accounting work we do, such as employee embezzlement investigations, calculations of lost profits for damages in litigation and financial investigations for construction disputes, matrimonial matters, and shareholder disputes.  In addition, she is currently preparing to take the Certified in Financial Forensics exam, which is a credential offered by the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants.  Further, I believe she has the drive to succeed in this niche area of accounting.”

Wickes, member of the 40 Under Forty class of 2014, founded her forensic accounting firm in April 2016 after having held senior management positions in the forensic accounting departments at two regional CPA firms. She said, “The growth of my business is consistent with the growth in the forensic accounting field in general.   HubPages had an article in May 2016 about the Jobs in the Growing Field of Accounting, which stated “forensic accounting is a hot career field in the 21st century”.  Also, Accounting Today’s article, published in April 2016, stated forensic accounting is a growing field and announced that a college was offering a new forensic accounting course.  More colleges are now offering forensic accounting classes and some, such as SUNY Albany, are now offering degrees in this discipline.  This wasn’t the case a decade ago.”

Wickes Forensic Accounting & Consulting, LLC is a niche accounting services firm that focuses on forensic accounting, litigation support, consulting, and collaborative divorce financial services, as further detailed at www.wickesforensicaccounting.com.  The forensic accounting services include a wide variety of investigations and economic damages calculations to assist with the resolution of the financial aspects of business and personal disputes, including those related to employee embezzlement, shareholder disputes, divorce, bankruptcy, certain insurance claims, and construction and post-acquisition disputes.
