October 13, 2016New Partnership will Promote Capital Region Events
The Capital Region Chamber and Gavant Software are excited to announce a partnership to promote Gavant’s EventStroll mobile app via the Chamber’s online Community Calendar.
EventStroll is a free mobile app that provides real-time information in an easy-to-access format. It helps users discover events of interest in the Capital Region, from community events such as Troy Night Out and 1st Friday Albany to business happenings such as networking events and training courses.
Events submitted to the Chamber’s Community Calendar at www.capitalregioncalendar.com will now appear on EventStroll, thereby increasing their exposure at no additional cost or effort to the event planner. By providing up-to-date information on participants, locations and other event details, EventStroll helps users know what to see and where to be in the Capital Region.
The app can trace its roots back to 2013, when Gavant donated the Troy Night Out mobile app to the Troy Business Improvement District as a means for the software company to celebrate its 10th anniversary with the local community. In an effort to more broadly serve the Capital Region by bringing attention to the area’s many great offerings, EventStroll was developed to provide a central go-to place for the Capital Region’s events. Now available for free download, EventStroll can be found on both Google Play and the iOS App Store.
