You’re Invited! Learn about NY ABLE and how it helps those with disabilities

The New York Achieving a Better Life Experience (NY ABLE) Program is another step to help us realize the goals of the Autism Action Plan in the New York State Assembly, offering those with disabilities more opportunities and more independence. Since the legislation was enacted, the program was developed with a goal of supporting individuals with health, independence and quality of life.

With the NY ABLE Program, New Yorker’s with disabilities and their families can save for disability-related expenses. NY ABLE account earnings are tax exempt for qualified disability expenses. These funds are intended to supplement, not supplant, benefits provided through Medicaid, Supplemental Security Income, and other sources.

Learn more at a special event hosted by Assemblyman Angelo Santabarbara with New York State Comptroller Thomas P. DiNapoli on Tuesday, May 29th at 6pm at Robb Alley in Proctors Theatre, 432 State Street in downtown Schenectady. Space is limited. Please be sure to register.
