The Open Door Book Store is excited to host authors William Jay O’Hern, author Spring Trout & Strawberry Pancakes: Borrowed Tales, Quirky Cures, Camp Recipes and the Adirondack Characters Who Cooked Them Up and Nancy Best, author of Learning to Cook Adirondack and Learning to Cook Adirondack Over and Open Fire on Saturday, October 17 from 1 to 2:30 p.m.
About William Jay O’Hern
Jay O’Hern’s fascination with the Adirondacks started over 60 years ago. “I feel a real obligation to the history of the mountains.” A retired teacher, O’Hern has written more that a dozen books about the Adirondacks.
About Nancy Best
A fourth generation Adirondack native, Nancy Best has written two Adirondack cookbooks sharing recipes and memories. Best says, “There is something for everyone, from dough on a stick to turkey in a trash can.”
