SICM Emergency Food Pantry to Benefit from Baby Item Collection at Sow’s Ear on Upper Union Street in Schenectady

The SICM Emergency Food Pantry provides food on a regular basis for families with children, including babies.  They also provide toiletries, baby formula, diapers and wipes.  However, these items are not always on the minds of the well-meaning donors, and therefore do not show up in donation boxes as often as pasta, cereal, canned meat, etc.  All of these things are important to have at the Food Pantry, but currently there is an urgent need for disposable diapers, especially size 3 and up.  Once again, Sow’s Ear Studio is helping the SICM Emergency Food Pantry with a Baby Item Collection! Please visit Sow’s Ear at 1597 Union Street in Schenectady, and bring your donation of diapers, wipes or other baby items. Support your local food pantry, and pick up some treasures for your holiday shopping at the same time!

Sow’s Ear is a local studio and gallery featuring handcrafted items, including furniture, jewelry, hand-painted glassware, accessories, murals, faux finishes, and much more.  Located on Upper Union Street in Schenectady, Sow’s Ear is sponsoring the collection of diapers and other baby items for SICM from now through December 31.  Customers are invited to make a donation of baby items to help stock the shelves of the Food Pantry.
