June 7, 2018Photographic Expressions Studio & Gallery, LLC to Become PH GALLERY + STUDIO
Pilar Arthur-Snead, Gallery Director and Owner of Photographic Expressions Studio & Gallery, LLC, announced that the company will officially begin doing business as PH GALLERY + STUDIO as of June 29, 2018.
Ms. Arthur-Snead explained that the new name reflects the evolving focus and direction of the company, adding, “PH GALLERY + STUDIO’s new name and brand identity emphasizes the organization’s mission to provide a platform and space dedicated to photo-based artists in the Capital Region and beyond.”
Photographic Expressions Studio & Gallery opened its doors in 2009, focusing primarily on event and corporate photography services and maintaining a base of operations in Albany, NY. In the fall of 2014, the gallery moved to 455 Broadway in Troy, NY. and the gallery’s first juried show opened in Winter 2016, with guest juror Kate Menconeri of Thomas Cole House in Catskill, NY.
PH GALLERY + STUDIO now offers an intimate and innovative space for photo-based artists’ work to be seen and shown. The Artist Exhibition Program at PH GALLERY + STUDIO, is fiscally sponsored by the New York Foundation for the Arts, and hosts one juried art show and three solo artist shows per year, as well as performances, classes, private tutoring and consultations for artists. Ms. Arthur-Snead is herself an artist with a Masters of Fine Art in Photography from the Academy of Art University. Her work has been exhibited in various venues around the Capital Region, in Chicago, Illinois and in Los Angeles, California as well.
