Five Brown School Student Come in First Place At Punt, Pass & Kick Regional Competition

Brown School has proudly announced that five students from, the nursery through grade eight independent school located in Schenectady, NY, have achieved first place in the regional Punt, Pass & Kick competition. First place winners are eligible to compete at Giant’s Stadium on December 6, 2015. The results of who will head to the stadium will be revealed in the next few weeks. Punt, Pass & Kick was developed by the NFL for students.

In all, nine Brown School students were eligible to participate in the regional completion. Those Brown School students who did not come in first place came in second, third and fourth places. Brown School Physical Education Teacher Kim Cooper places a great deal of emphasis on team cooperation and spirit in addition to the development of skills. “We are so proud of our students and the effort each of them put forth. We loved how they were cheering one another on and showing a great deal of school spirit. It was a really fun event, “ she said.

First place winners from Brown School included: Esme Platt, Emma Noviczski, Ashley Woodry, Nicholas Lomonoco and Chehyn Yang.

Second place winners included: Matthew Hand and Logan Cornick.

Third place winners included: Addy Klotz.

Fourth place was achieved by: Blake Mahieu.

Each year for the past several years, Brown School has sent at least one representative to the next level.

The NFL Punt, Pass & Kick (PPK) program is a national skills competition for boys and girls between the ages of six and fifteen who compete separately against their peers. Established in 1961, the PPK program is the oldest NFL youth football program.
