CSSC’s 2017 Mother’s Day Fashion Show brings in over $10,000

Colonie Senior Service Center’s (CSSC) hosted the 19th Annual Mother’s Day Fashion Show and Luncheon to support Transportation Services. Over 240 guests attended “Fashion, Friends, Fun!” Fashion Show at the Beltrone Living Center on May 12, 2017. In total, the event raised over $10,000 for CSSC’s Transportation Department.

The Show featured women’s fashions from Christopher and Banks with accessories from Charming Charlie and men’s fashions from Boscov’s. Eight community and corporate friends helped model the fashions. Joining CSSC on the runway was Helen Appel, a Beltrone Living Center Resident, Sheila Basile, Spouse of Board Member Carm Basile (CDTA), Christina Meier, Meier Law Firm, PLLC, Sarah Perkins, Bright Horizons Program Assistant, Don Anderson, CSSC Transportation Driver, Justin Ducharme, Berkshire Bank, Frank Fournier, Sheehy Manor Resident Assistant, and Kurt Woodward, WCGS Architects.

After a delicious luncheon of Asparagus and Red Pepper Quiche alongside Macaroni Salad and Decadent Chocolate Mousse, the hour long show began. Announcing the models and their fashions was Russ Ward and Cindy Pettit, incoming President and Vice President of CSSC’s Board of Directors.

Support for the Fashion Show and Luncheon came from a number of sponsors from the community. Capital Imaging was the presenting sponsor with additional support from KeyBank, CDTA, CDPHP, Interim Healthcare, Loudonville Assisted Living Residence, VNS NY Choice Health Plans, and Cohoes Savings Foundation.
