March 14, 2018Community invited to ENGAGE FOR HEALTH at SCPL
The Phyllis Bornt Branch Library & Literacy Center will host a program entitled ENGAGE FOR HEALTH on Saturday, March 24th from 10AM to Noon at the branch located at 948 State Street. Dr. Dean Limeri, author of Medicine is a Team Sport, will present this patient-empowerment program designed to inform community members how to get the most out of their interactions with healthcare providers. This includes taking an active role in your health care by listening, asking the right questions, writing things down, being aware of resources available to find health information, improving communication with your health care provider, and bringing a friend or family member with you to medical appointments, if you so choose.
This program is made possible through a partnership with the Schenectady County Public Library and Ellis Medicine. Refreshments will be provided.
