July 11, 2017The College of Saint Rose Professor to Give Talk on the Importance of Data Analytics
Have you heard a lot about business analytics but you’re not sure what it means for your bottom line? Dr. Eyyub Yunus Kibis, assistant professor of business at The College of Saint Rose who will teach in the college’s new Business Analytics master’s degree program, will give a talk about the importance of data analytics in all occupations. He also will cover the exponential growth in business analyst positions and why employers need data analysis.
In his work, Kibis has concentrated on the treatment of biological diseases, especially on breast cancer, where he developed mathematical models for providing the best breast cancer treatment policies for cancer patients. He also focused on data mining methods to predict the survivability of breast cancer patients and the recurrence of the disease.
The talk will be held from 7:45 to 9 a.m. Thursday, July 27 at the Huether School of Business, 994 Madison Ave. in Albany. Coffee and pastries will be available and parking is free. The event also is free and open to the public.
