Albany Police Athletic League & Santa to Visit Students at the Center for Disability Services, Support the Center’s Giving Tree Project

In what has become a highly anticipated event for students at the Langan School and Clover Patch Preschool, members of the Albany Police Athletic League (PAL) will bring Santa Claus and volunteer helpers to the Center for Disability Services for a visit on Thursday, December 10 at 10 a.m. They will deliver gifts for the Center’s Giving Tree project and small treats for the assembled students. Albany Police Chief Brendan Cox and other members of the APD plan to attend.

The pupils and teachers will gather in the lobby to thank PAL for its generous donation of toys, sing holiday songs and have photos taken with Santa. Participants from other Center programs will also attend.

The Giving Tree project, organized by Foundation and Service Coordination employees, assists Center students, adults and families who are in need during the holiday season by providing warm clothing, food, household goods, and a fun gift for each child.

Students who have disabilities or severe medical conditions are enrolled in the Langan School and Clover Patch Preschool, where special education teachers use technology, mobility equipment and innovative techniques to teach students academics and life skills.
