9/11 Program at New York State Museum – Free and Open to the Public

In 2003, Tom Junod’s article, “The Falling Man”, was published in Esquire. Listen to a reading of the article by Junod and hear about Richard Drew’s “The Falling Man” photograph, the story behind the photo and the search for the man pictured in it. Attendees will have an opportunity to ask Junod questions following the reading.

This special program will take place on Friday, September 11 from 7 to 8 p.m. at the State Museum’s Huxley Theater in Albany.

Prior to the reading from 6 – 7 p.m., attendees can also view the New York State Museum’s exhibition “World Trade Center: Rescue, Recovery, Response” and talk with Museum Director, Mark Schaming.

Registration is recommended, but not necessary. Please email nicole.lafountain@nysed.gov or call 518.474.0575. Junod is a 1980 alumnus of the University at Albany. This program is sponsored jointly by the University at Albany and the New York State Museum.
