2016 Community IMPACT Awards to be Presented at April 6 Ceremony

The Stakeholders, Inc. has announced the winners of the 2016 Community IMPACT Awards designed to recognize companies, organizations and individuals who have provided exemplary volunteer services in New York’s Capital Region. The IMPACT Awards will be presented in a Hollywood-style ceremony on Wednesday, April 6, 2016 at the Franklin Plaza in Troy, New York.

Two hundred Capital Region business and community leaders are expected to gather to honor the 2016 honorees, starting at 5:30pm with a lavish networking cocktail party, followed by the Oscar-style award show at 6:30 p.m. (minus the long-winded speeches!). Hosted by Robert Clancy, owner of Spiral Design Studio and author of The Hitchhiker’s Guide to the Soul, the ceremony will be enhanced by performances from area bands and other musical groups.

The 2016 IMPACT Award winners are:

  • Plaza Fitness Performance/ Allison Hicks, Outstanding Service Project
  • Troy Innovation Garage/ Thomas Nardacci, Sustainable Communities Award
  • Peter Gannon, Young Philanthropist Award
  • Al Testa, Young Philanthropist
  • Kelly Mateja, Community Mentorship Award
  • Kevin Reilly, Community Mentorship Award
  • Meaghan Sammons, Everyday Hero Award
  • Honest Weight and The Food Pantries, Business-to-Nonprofit Partnership Award
  • Susan Fogarty, Skills-Based Volunteerism Award
  • NYSID Preferred Solutions, Corporate Volunteer of the Year Award
  • Miles of Smiles, Business-to-Business Partnership Award
    Buzz Media Solutions, Schenectady County Community College, Downtown Schenectady Improvement Corporation, Capital Region Chamber of Commerce, City of Schenectady, MVP Healthcare, the Daily Gazette, Open Stage Media, Proctors, Anthology Studio, Craig wander, Smile Monster!

Based in Albany, New York, The Stakeholders is a not-for-profit organization that inspires and equips people to take positive action in their communities.
