UMAC Grants and Scholarships
Family Readiness Grant
The UMAC Family Readiness Grant provides funding for Military Family Readiness Providers’ programming that will improve the well-being and resilience of military members and their families. Providers’ program(s) should emphasize personal growth, positive development and improved individual and family functioning.
The Unified Military Affairs Council (UMAC) Scholarship ($1,000)
Three awards of $1,000 each for students whose parent(s) serve at one of the following military installations and will enter college in 2020: Stratton Air National Guard Base; Navy Operational Support Center Glenville; Naval Support Activity Saratoga; Nuclear Power Training Unit Ballston Spa; Watervliet Arsenal; or Joint Force Headquarters Latham. Applicants must be entering a technical/trade school or a two or four year college or university in the Fall of 2020.
Due date: March 19.

Set up an account and review the detailed scholarship information. The applicant will need to complete some basic biographical information and write a brief response to a short answer question. Applicants should be prepared with the following information:
- An unofficial copy of his or her transcript
- Email addresses of two individuals that can upload recommendation letters on the applicant’s behalf
